Jedward slam ‘b*****d’ Louis Walsh after he shockingly calls them ‘vile’ on Celebrity Big Brother
Louis Walsh is in hot water after slagging off Jedward on Tuesday’s Celebrity Big Brother.
The former X Factor judge, 71, was speaking to Colson Smith in the Big Brother house on Tuesday when the soaps star asked what it was like working with the Irish duo.
And viewers were shocked when he answered: ‘They were vile.
‘They were vile, but they were great.I got 5 million quid for them, I swear on my mother’s life.’
He went on: ‘But they were vile. But they were novelty, it was great for the show, and it was all about the show.’
John and Edward Grimes were teenagers when they first shot to fame on The X Factor, with CBB viewers flocking to Twitter to defend the quirky duo after Louis’s comments.
And the pair have now hit back themselves with a heartbreaking claim.
They wrote on X, moments after Louis’ comments aired: ‘Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b*****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died.’
The twins’ mother, Suzannah, tragically died from cancer in 2019.
They have previously described her as ‘our biggest fan, supportive and wanted us to go out there and express ourselves’.
In further Tweets, the official Jedward account claimed they ‘fired’ Louis after he ‘b*****d and talked about us,’ and described him as an ‘evil manipulator’ who ‘tried to make us sign our name and life away… without our mom we wouldn’t be here today! What an absolute weirdo with bad intentions for all.’
They added in a further tweet: ‘All future acts should be made aware of what this VILE man is really like.’
‘Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful we aren’t going to have our character taken,’ they added ‘Justice will be served.’
CBB viewers were angered by Louis’ comments, with hundreds flocking to X to share their thoughts, with user Leevs writing ‘no to this Jedward slander!!! Not on my watch!!’
User Liv agreed ‘we will not be accepting Jedward slander from [Louis Walsh[.’
And the duo’s celebrity pal Gemma Collins also came out in their support, taking to Instagram where she shared a photo of them together and said she was ‘shocked to see what was said about my boys.’
‘They are the sweetest talented polite educated kind boys I’ve ever met hence why they are always in my company! TEAM JEDWARD!’
Jedward and Gemma have long been close friends, and it appears the trio were all together and watching Celebrity Big Brother when Louis made the comments.
Because, in the moments after the segment aired, Gemma went live on Instagram, first filming the TV as she declared ‘Louis, don’t be slagging off my boys. They’re not vile, they’re beautiful in every single way.’
She then turned the camera to one of the twins, who slammed Louis and remarked ‘I can’t believe we’re even watching you on the show, you’re like a cat with nine lives. How many times can you slag off your acts?’
He claimed Louis ‘did nothing for us … how dare you. We’re sick of it.’
Gemma, Edward and John appeared to be eating a roast dinner at the time, which they said was the ‘only thing keeping me going right now’.
